Social Statistics Research Group (SSRG) at the The Cathie Marsh Centre for Census and Survey Research

Welcome to SSRG

The aim of the Social Statistics Research Group (SSRG) is to provide a focus for researchers in the School of Social Sciences to discuss the development and application of methodology for the analysis of social statistics, as well as considering design issues for the collection of socio-economic data.

Topics include multilevel modelling, combining data, social network analysis and the design and analysis of longitudinal studies. Theoretical details as well as practical aspects of the methods are considered such as data availability and software. SSRG aims to promote the use of social statistics methods within the School, the University and on a national and international basis, forging links with the academic and non-academic research communities.
