My job title is Lecturer in the Development and Project Planning Centre, Univ. of Bradford, BD7 1DP.

I am seconded for 50% of my time to the Graduate School in Social Sciences and Humanities of the same University. (Click to skip to that site.) The Graduate School has a long name because it includes some humanities subjects as well as the usual -- or perhaps unusual -- social science departments such as Social and Economic Studies, Peace Studies, and Development and Project Planning, among others.

In the Graduate School I help to deliver a course of training for first-year PhD students. This course on methods, comprising in total six modules, is also available for staff doing PhDs and for outsiders who want to register for a masters in social research methods. The masters course is called an MA this year, and will change to the label MRes. (Masters in Research Methods) next year.

I am very keen to work with others on training for better social research!

Here are three of the students working in the Graduate School. I have asked them for permission to use this photo!
