I joined CCSR in 2007, having finished my Phd on the Impact of social stratification determinants on poverty dynamics in Europe at the University of Leuven (Belgium). While at Leuven I was also employed as a member of the survey quality team of the European Social Survey.

My research interests are in social stratification and poverty, as well as survey methodology. I am particularly interested in the life events associated with poverty, the study of cumulative disadvantage over the life course as well as the individualization thesis and the end-of-class debate. My work has been comparative, looking at different welfare regimes. My methodological research focuses on survey non-response and attrition patterns as well as the measurement of income poverty and annual household income in longitudinal cross-national household panel surveys.

I am a member of RECWOWE (Reconciling work and Welfare in Europe) and the work, employment and research methods group at CCSR. I am involved in the program on social inequality at the Institute for Social Change.
