2011 SARs

Preparations

The consultation on the 2011 SARs began in October 2010. A first document outlining principles underlying CCSR strategy for the 2011 SARs is available. This document was first presented to the SARs user meeting on 12 November 2007.

A report by Keith Dugmore of Demographic Decisions giving a business case for microdata files from the 2011 Census is available and was discussed at the SARs user meeting on 23 April 2009.

The SARs user meeting on 28 January 2011 gathered topic experts, the Census Offices and the SARs team to discuss final requirements for the SARs for 2011.

More information on the 2011 Census can be found on the Official Census web pages. A report of the Office for National Statistics Microdata consultation workshop on 11 November 2011 has been produced by the SARs team.

Current State

In April 2011, the specifications went to the statistical offices for the Disclosure Control process to begin. Their target date for release is autumn 2013.
