Code Book
The codebook for Version 1 of the Individual CAMS, currently available at ONS Titchfield, Newport and London, was published here in PDF format on 26 September 2005. For an online version of the codebook see the variable list.

SARs Meta Data
These files are the SARs documentation in XML DDI format, as used internally in our Nesstar server. Most users will not find these useful and would be better looking at the documentation or dataset pages rather than this raw metadata.

Readers should be aware that the current file supercedes a pilot version of the data which contained less detail. A codebook for this data is also available.
CAMS Test File
A test dataset for the Individual Controlled Access Microdata file is available for download to registered users. This represents a sub-sample of 298,912 cases, with variables perturbed to ensure that no sample members can be identified. Whilst univariate distribtions have been preserved, bi-variate relationships have not. It will allow users to check syntax but will not support exploratory analyses or syntax checking of procedures that are dependant on joint distributions (e.g. looking for convergence in iterative procedures).
