A collection of Learning and Teaching Resources have been developed based around UK Census Microdata (the Samples of Anonymised Records). They are editable, flexible and free. You simply need an ATHENS password to access the resources.

There are two families of resources:

• Introductory Data Analysis covering a wide range of methods topics starting from basic exploratory techniques through to more formal methods of statistical analysis.
• Substantive Issues Units covering more discipline-specific topics.

There are also Overview Units covering the Census which are of interest, but not directly concerning, the SARs. They are written as part of the overall CHCC project which provides learning and teachning materials based on historical and area-based Census data.
