SEA is a research group within the Discipline of Social Statistics and the Centre for Census and Survey Research (CCSR) for colleagues who share an interest in spatial analysis and small area estimation. The research theme of small area estimation and spatial analysis fits well within the discipline of Social Statistics. Small area estimation and spatial analysis research is conducted within the main social statistics departments in the UK and abroad. Researchers in universities, national statistical offices, government organizations and research institutions working on the production of statistics for regional areas and other population subgroups show considerable interest in small area estimation and spatial analysis techniques. The group is currently convened by nikos.tzavidis@manchester.ac.uk Within the theme of spatial analysis and estimation we are interested in:
The group includes both PhD students and staff. Meetings are organized to discuss recent research results, to discuss a paper and to share research problems.
