During the summer schools, participants are encouraged to work together where practicable, in order to form research links.

The Short Visits Scheme has been established to enable participants to visit each other after the summer school in order to develop joint research resulting in a paper or conference presentation. €1000 per person is available to cover travel and subsistence for five days.

Participants who are interested should talk to the tutors before the end of the summer school and then contact Ruth Durrell, the Programme Coordinator (ruth.durrell@manchester.ac.uk), with an application of no more than 2000 words.

NB Attendance at QMSS 2 summer schools is a prerequisite for this funding
