Back to the Programme.Date: Monday 17th July Venue: Bernard Sunley Theatre Time: 3.30-5.30 Title: Challenges for ethnography Session Programme Chair: Ian Stronach, Manchester Metropolitan University In this session three eminent ethnographers will give their different perspectives on why ethnography is important and what the future offers in terms of both opportunities and challenges (for example, do new methods of recording or analysis open up new opportunities; are there increased challenge to conducting or reporting research?). Speakers Paul Atkinson, University of Cardiff Rescuing Ethnography? Paul Atkinson is Distinguished Research Professor at Cardiff University and Associate Director of the ESRC's Centre for Economic and Social Aspects of Genomics (CESAGen).
