Johs. Hjellbrekke is associate professor, Department of sociology, University of Bergen, Norway. His research interests include industrial sociology, elites, social stratification and social mobility, as well as statistical techniques for the analysis of categorical data. He has used correspondence analysis as a main research tool for more than 10 years.
