ALISTAIR ULPH
Prof. Alistair Ulph was trained as an economist (Glasgow and Oxford), working most recently in the field of environmental economics. He joined The University of Manchester as Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities in 2004 , following a period of 25 years at the University of Southampton, where he played a wide range of roles, including: Head of Department of Economics, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor. In 2000 he was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and President of European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (a 2-year post).
