Advanced topics in missing data

Venue: Williamson building, University of Manchester

A workshop organised by Dr James Carpenter and Professor Mike Kenward, as part of the Research Methods Programme.

Topics:
  • Review of basic concepts
  • Methods for missing response data
  • Imputation for continuous and discrete covariates
  • Imputation for multiple waves
  • Semi-parametric methods
  • Sensitivity analysis
  • Consultant's forum
Pre-requisites:
  • Either 'Introduction to missing data' course
  • or Experience using linear and generalised linear regression and familiarity with multilevel models

The course will involve a combination of lectures, interactive group work and practical computing using R, Stata and WinBUGS. Prior knowledge of these packages is not required.

The workshop is sponsored by the ESRC Research Methods Programme and is free to participants. However, no expenses can be paid in respect of travel and accommodation.
