MARIE CURIE FELLOWSHIPS at CCSR
Marie Curie fellowships provide doctoral research students with the opportunity to enhance their studies by access to internationally recognised research groups.
The Centre for Census and Survey Research has been designated a Marie-Curie Training Site, with fully funded fellowships for doctoral students (from European Union or Associated States) for periods of 3 months to one year.
We are currently inviting applications for the FINAL round of fellowships for 2004
APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED BY DECEMBER 1st, 2003 (start date negotiable)
Students will:
- receive funding to study and work at CCSR
- Join a dynamic and stimulating inter-disciplinary research centre
- Have access to training courses in advanced quantitative methods
- Have the opportunity to work with census microdata from the UK Census
- Pursue research using complex longitudinal data
Fellowships cover the research and management costs of the host institution and provide living and travel allowances of 1200 eruo/month for the costs of the fellow's stay at the host institution, plus a contribution to the return travel costs of 100 euro/fellow-month. Fellows will have the opportunity to gain high quality training through the MSc Programme in Social Research Methods and Statistics , and be able to develop their own research interests in an active research environment. Depending on the length of stay and individual needs, Fellows may take the full MSc programme or individual courses from it. Alternatively students may choose to focus on their research, with short courses taken as required.
