Review of the Information Centre Survey Programme

The IC is undertaking a review of its programme of population and household based surveys with the purpose “To establish whether, and if so, how, to change the focus of the IC Survey Programme to maximise its strategic fit and the power of the information coming from it in light of current and forthcoming developments in administrative information sources in both primary and secondary care.” An update giving background, progress and current thinking will be presented.

Synthetic Estimates using HSE data

A report on the use of HSE data to update small area synthetic estimates of a range of health outcomes including current smoking and obesity, and to validate model-based estimates against other sources of information and local knowledge.
